The title is slightly unfair, since Miyamoto had almost nothing to do with the Virtual Boy. The current decision to stop production of the NES Classic, however, deserves ridicule. Nintendo used to be extremely skilled at creating artificial scarcity, but nowadays they just veer straight into baffling-decisions-territory and end up feeling the consequences.
