This was the comic we wrote in the event that Labor won the election. I was going to leave it black and white, but it looked just so… incomplete.

It was far more difficult to come up with a strip for Labor winning than it was for the Liberals winning, and maybe there’s scope for observational satire in that, but The Economist nailed actually why.

We usually take great pains to make Martin and Robert’s personalities in the comic considerably different than ours, but I do ride a bike everywhere and Robert’s revolted sigh at the mention of “rap metal” sealed the deal on this one. He also described the opening ten seconds as “a robot farting”, which I think is kind of perfect.

The final 2013 election comic is tomorrow, and that one is going to remain black and white. I think it works regardless.
